TIME DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE
This picture? It’s of my wife and I celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary last year - what a difference 50 years makes!
So too, when we take the time to step back and analyze what is going on outside of our normal day to day activities that is impacting us never-the-less, we probably find quite a difference in our world today when we compare it to what it was like 50 years ago. Have your ever thought about or researched an old law or an old document or some other such instrument, written 50 or more years ago, that still guides our actions today? Ever wondered if its intent and circumstances, etc. when written were the same as they are today? Sometimes, we are trying to apply what was to what is and that could be like trying to put that old square peg into a round hole. We know of course that just because something is old, it doesn’t mean that it is outdated - look at the bible. Just for your information, I don’t consider myself outdated either!
DISCOVERY
One of the main missions of www.desire-accomplished.com, a division of AccuAnswer, Inc., of which I am president, is to first seek out those areas where it is strongly perceived that a certain document of law or documents such as the U.S. Constitution, seems to need some change or update in order to better serve we the people of the United States of America. We will start the input of ideas we feel need to be discussed, but we expect once we get going, most of this will come from all of you. Next, after the selection of a topic or Issue, we will spend the time needed to fully define that Issue so we all understand it. You cannot come up with the right answer if you do not have the right question. Following that process, we will move to the Solution. Once we feel good about the Solution, we will move to the action part of the equation - how can we best put that solution into place? You can see how critical your inputs will be.
All of the content of these publications will be kept on a very positive plane and you will not find any ‘bashing’, etc. showing up in our commentaries - yes, sometimes it can get pretty tempting to blast away at someone or some entity, but it rarely accomplishes anything positive. Rather, our focus needs to be kept on a goal of accomplishing positive inputs that result in a stronger and all around better U.S. of America. We need to build on all the achievements of previous generations and add to them our contributions for those generations to follow.
INTRODUCTION
Hi, my name is Russ Brown. I am a retired president and CEO of a small firm in the Upper Midwest. During my career which spanned 45 years (from truck driver to president), I was fortunate enough to receive several achievement awards at the local, state and regional levels including Small Business Person of the Year and Innovator of the Year, and have served on countless Boards. My wife and I have been blessed with 6 children, 14 grandchildren (one of whom is in Heaven cheering on the rest of us), and 4 great grandchildren - two more on the way. We count our many blessings everyday and look forward to working with all of you folks throughout America, in helping our Country continue to achieve its destination.
